OneBeacon is another great insurance carrier we work with. They can write workers comp insurance to businesses that specialize office, retail, manufacturing with lower hazard. They specialize in writing companies with fewer than 40 employees, generally with three or more years in the business.
Safeco is a good source for manufacturing, office, retail service and wholesale operations as well. They also can write workers comp to limited contracting, they will require Ultra Specialty as supporting business. Safeco has a $50,000 maximum premium. Safeco will consider writing worker comp for new ventures, start-ups, and any business that is just starting. Must be eligible for BOP.State Fund is an alternative to other worker comp options. They tend to be more expensive, and will generally write high risk and other policies that you can not get issued anywhere else.
Travelers Insurance will consider writing workers comp for a wide range of businesses. They will write the standard retail, office, restaurant, wholesale, technology.
Zurich Small Business is similar to those above. They will write workers comp for office, retail, and service operations. They may also consider manufacturing, wholesale and institutional classes.
Hartford is another great options for workers comp. They specialize in lower hazard manufacturing operations, in addition to office, retail, service, and wholesale operations.
